Damien Braeckman

Hello, thank you for taking the time to get to know me better.

I’m Damien, from Ghent, married to the lovely Catherine and father of 3.
I have a background in IT and Project Management and am certified in more than 15 tools and techniques related to business processes and team collaboration. Over the past 20 years I have worked in small and large companies on process optimisation, team and people coaching. I often use a combination of agile, lean and teal techniques together with non-violent communication to make teams and organisations grow in their cooperation. “Continuous improvement is my middle name”.

I love to talk about business agility and have studied agile value management with which I have been invited to speak at several conferences such as:

Why am I standing here among all these smart people?
DGDM are “smart rebels”, I see myself as a “corporate rebel”. We are proactive, straight shooters, focused on collaboration and knowledge. All behaviours and values that are close to my heart.

As Innovation and Operations Manager, I have the pleasure of helping De Groote – De Man further in the field of innovation and cooperation. With my expertise and vision on organisational structures and personal development, I can do my bit for this wonderfully driven team.

In addition, I have also been active as a Guest Lecturer at the University of Ghent since 2015. Besides work, I am also a certified music producer and write custom music for artists and bands. If you can’t find me in the studio, I’m on a padel court.
