Dilara Topkaya

Dilara Topkaya graduated in 2023 from Ghent University with a Master’s degree in Law, earning it with great distinction. She then pursued a Postgraduate Master’s in Notarial Studies at the same university, completing the one-year program in 2024 with distinction and a high ranking.

During her studies, she completed several summer internships in Antwerp and Ghent, including one at De Groote – De Man, where she gained exposure to various aspects of Family Law, Family Property Law, and Real Estate Law. In addition to her studies, she was actively involved in extracurricular activities such as StudyCoach and Student Welcome Services, which further developed her communication and speaking skills. She also served as a Senior Legal Advisor with the Student Association for rental disputes and as a legal advisor at tZitemzo, where she supported minors and their parents. During her Postgraduate Master in Notarial Studies, she was active as a Student Representative on the Educational Committee.

During her summer internship in August 2023 at De Groote – De Man, she was impressed by the firm’s expertise and professional culture. Dilara sees it as an excellent environment to further develop her legal skills. She will join the Family Law and Family Property Law team. Dilara is bilingual in Dutch and Turkish and can professionally support clients in both languages.

In her free time, she enjoys walks with her dog, reading a good book, or baking treats for friends and family. She is also up for dining out or participating in activities with friends.
