Margaux Mouton has been a lawyer at the Bar of Ghent since September 2021.

Mr. Margaux Mouton graduated with great distinction as a Master of Laws from Ghent University in 2021. During her studies, she spent a semester at the renowned University of Glasgow in Scotland, where she honed her professional-level English.

After several summer internships in various law firms, Margaux was firmly convinced that a career in law was her future. Throughout her studies, she developed a keen interest in the legal domains of criminal law and family law. Her fascination with the human aspect in all its facets and a strong social character led her to the criminal law team at De Groote-De Man.

Since September 2023, Margaux has been working as a teaching assistant at Ghent University. She supports Prof. Wendy De Bondt in the courses ‘Substantive Criminal Law’ and ‘Special Criminal Law’. She views the interplay between the legal profession and the academic world as interconnected vessels.

Her years of experience as a member and leader at Scouts Tielt, along with her volunteer work in Zambia, instilled in her values such as communication, responsibility, and collaboration. These same values are of paramount importance to her in providing legal services at DGDM.

In her free time, she enjoys going to restaurants with friends and can often be found on the tennis court.
