Mr. Justine Versluys has been a lawyer at the Ghent Bar since September 2023.

Mr. Justine Versluys obtained her Master’s degree in Criminological Sciences in 2020, after which she graduated as Master of Laws at Ghent University with great distinction in 2023. She decided to focus exclusively on the fields of criminal and human rights law.

During her studies, Mr. Justine Versluys completed several internships at various law firms as well as with the team providing assistance and services to detainees of the Department of Welfare, Public Health and Family of the Flemish Government.

The special interest and passion for criminal law only grew through her participation in the Legal Clinic Human Rights, an initiative of Ghent University. In addition, Mr. Justine Versluys participated in the Moot Court International Private Law where she and her team were able to win 2nd place for best written memorial and thus raised her professional level of English.

In her spare time, Mr. Justine Versluys dances in a hip-hop competition team called Funky Fresh. This ensures that she values teamwork, communication and precision and goes to extremes to achieve the best possible result. She takes these skills with her when handling a case.

As a lawyer at DGDM, Justine will assist clients during every stage of the criminal process.
