Elena Lesire obtained her Master of Laws degree with distinction from Ghent University in 2025. During her studies, she had the opportunity to spend a semester at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, where she deepened her interest in international law and diversity.

Elena gained practical experience through several internships and volunteer positions. She completed an internship at the Public Prosecutor’s Office in Leuven and took part in Ghent University’s Legal Clinic, assisting unaccompanied minor asylum seekers with their applications. She continues to volunteer with the legal team of Punt vzw, providing first-line legal aid to victims of sexual violence. In addition, she interned at the law firm Mylos in Mechelen.

At De Groote – De Man, Elena is part of the Data, Technology & Entertainment team. She works on a variety of cases related to data and technology, with a particular focus on social law.

Elena chose DGDM for its clear vision — client-oriented, entrepreneurial and warm. The firm’s modern approach and welcoming atmosphere convinced her to join the team.

In her free time, Elena enjoys running — she completed her first marathon last year. She also plays the violin and piano, and loves spending time with friends and family at cozy dinners or festivals. For many years, she was active in the youth movement, where she also led groups of children with disabilities.
