Alya-Jana D'haene

Alya-Jana holds a degree in Educational Sciences and later completed a postgraduate qualification in Human Resources. Before joining De Groote – De Man, she gained broad HR experience in start-ups and scale-ups, where she helped shape the entire HR function from A to Z.

Alongside her role at De Groote – De Man, Alya-Jana also works as a self-employed coach, a personal assistant within the Flemish Agency for Persons with Disabilities (VAPH), and a diversity and inclusion coach for the Royal Belgian Football Association. Although these roles may seem quite different at first glance, they all share one common thread: her passion for people, personal development, and creating an environment where everyone feels valued and supported.

Joining De Groote – De Man meant stepping into a new professional environment, different from the start-ups and scale-ups where she had previously worked. That very change was what appealed to her. From the very first conversations, she felt that the firm\\\\\\\’s warm culture, collegial atmosphere, and dynamic working environment perfectly matched what she was looking for. The combination of professionalism, entrepreneurial spirit, and a strong focus on collaboration ultimately convinced her to make the move.

In her free time, Alya-Jana enjoys travelling, good food, and discovering new places. She earned her PADI Open Water certification and also loves getting out on the water with a surfboard… although, with a healthy sense of humour, she prefers to leave the question of how successful those surfing sessions are unanswered. She also enjoys spending time with her partner, friends, and family, and loves the company of her black cat, who usually brings her good luck.
