The new Criminal Code is expected to enter into force on 1 September 2026. Companies and entrepreneurs may also be held criminally liable under the new regime. However, this reform introduces a broader range of sanctions for entrepreneurs, directors and executives, broader rules regarding attempt and participation, and often heavier financial consequences.
