Emilie earned her degree with great distinction from Ghent University in 2006 and continued her academic journey with a Master’s in Business Law at the University of Antwerp. She began her career at the Ghent Bar before spending 11 years at Eubelius, where she developed deep expertise in complex corporate law disputes, with a particular focus on company law.
Since 2017, Emilie has also been affiliated with the Institute for Procedural Law at Ghent University under the guidance of Professor Piet Taelman. Her academic involvement and publications, particularly in the field of Belgian class actions, reflect her commitment to legal scholarship.
Her promotion to partner is a reflection not only of her exceptional qualities and dedication to De Groote – De Man and its clients but also of the opportunities for growth within our firm. We are confident that Emilie’s leadership, vision, and drive will further strengthen our position as a leading law firm.
“Emilie is an exceptional lawyer whose dedication and expertise are a tremendous asset to our firm. Her promotion to partner is a logical and well-deserved step in her remarkable career,” said Ingrid De Poorter, Managing Partner.
Emilie is enthusiastic about her new role: “I am honored and excited to contribute as a partner to the further growth and innovation of our firm. Together with my colleagues, I aim to provide our clients with the best possible legal support tailored to their needs.”
We congratulate Emilie on this milestone and look forward to continuing our successful collaboration!
