In 2007, Mr. Steven De Grave obtained his Master of Laws degree at the VUB after having obtained his licentiate translator French-Italian.

Steven’s preference and focus lies mainly on entrepreneurship, entertainment and innovation new developments. After several years in the Corporate Law department, Steven chose to further develop the Privacy & IT department as an Associate Partner. Under his leadership, the department focuses on data, new technologies, media and entertainment.

Steven also has considerable experience in Employment Law. He guides clients in their employment contracts and advises on questions of dismissal, employment duration, etc.

In recent years, he has also regularly worked within companies as an in-house lawyer. This experience gives him a unique perspective. After all, he not only knows the external, legal side of a company, but also the ins and outs of its operations.

With a past as a passionate competitive athlete, he is happy to assist professional and recreational athletes, clubs and organisations when they have questions about their rights, contracts or Sports Law in general.

Since 2019, Steven has an official recognition as Mediator in Civil and Commercial Matters in his pocket. Convinced that court proceedings should never be the only way out of a conflict, he acts as a point of contact for parties wishing to reach a constructive solution to their dispute.

In addition to his work at the office, Steven remains passionate about sport and occasionally ventures out to compete.
